Abstract :
The Bukit Kalibagor Indah is located on Sokaraja Highwy is a new residential concept that is still under construction This final project has an initiative to make a Fiber To The Home (FTTH) design using 10 - Gigabit Passive Optical Network (XGPON) technology for all units to be able to good provide performance on the services. The research carried out in this final project is designing FTTH networks from the central (STO) to the customer (ONT) using Google Earth and Corel Draw. As well as doing simulations using optisystem to analyze the performance based on the calculation of the power link budget, BER and Q Factor parameters. Based on the calculation of the power link budget, the results are in accordance with ITU-T standards on downlink. The results obtained in the calculation of -18.825 dBm, these results are still declared good, because it doesn’t lower than the minimum value for the power link budget of -28 dBm as the sensitivity of the receiver's power on the ONT. The same thing also applies to the simulation results obtained, the received power from the simulation results of 21.541 dBm. These results can also be declared good because it doesn’t lower than the minimum value for a power link budget of -28 dBm as the sensitivity of the receiving power. The performance results of BER and Q Factor parameters based on simulation results obtained 6.71971 × 10-148 for BER and 25.8728 for Q-Factor. Both of these results, BER and Q-Factor can be declared good because they meet the standards of 10-9 for BER and 6 for Q-Factor. So it can be said that the design of the FTTH network at the Bukit Kalibagor Indah in this final project is declared feasible to be implemented.
