Abstract :
Wireless communication is currently very interested in the community
because they can be easily access data anywhere and anytime. One of technology
4th generation (4G) which offers efficiency and high-speed data access is
technology Long Term Evolution (LTE).To set up the need for fast data access and
good quality will require a reliable antenna at a frequency of 2300 MHz so that the
frequency use efficiency can be maintained. Refers to Ministry of Communication
and Information of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 Year 2017. In this study,
three scenarios designed 2x2 MIMO antenna design on a triangular patch. In each
scenario 2x2 MIMO antenna design is created by varying the direction of the patch
on each scenario that aims to provide an unidirectional radiation pattern. After
designed by 3 scenario design , and determine antenna mimo 2x2 scenario best
produce a pattern unidirectional radiation. To get the results in accordance with
the specifications for LTE 2300 MHz antenna, do iterations using Defected Ground
Structure. By using Defected Ground Structure (DGS) to increase the bandwidth of
the antenna that is designed and can suppress the mutual coupling effects arising
from the adjacent antenna arrangement which can result in decreased performance
of the antenna. This method of Defected Ground Structure damage on the ground
field microstrip antenna. Then after successfully designed antennas, 2x2 MIMO
antenna performance with a triangular patch Defectec Ground Structure method
of the parameter specifications have been set at 2300 MHz frequency LTE enough
to significantly increase the bandwidth parameter values and mutual coupling. The
value of the original bandwidth of 65.1 MHz and 67.2 MHz become 88.5 MHz and
90.4 MHz. The original value of mutual coupling of -26.560064 dB and dB become
-30.034878 -26.522359 -30.028704 dB and dB. This proves that the method of
Defected Ground Structure can increase bandwidth and reduce the value of mutual
coupling in a 2x2 MIMO antenna triangle patch.
