Abstract :
Shrimp pond cultivation is a business that is in great demand by fishpond entrepreneurs in Indonesia. However, shrimp farming activities not always go well. Based on the experience of researchers, several shrimp ponds have gone bankrupt because monitoring of pond water quality is still not good. Many shrimp who get sick and die due to water quality monitoring still rely on laboratory tests and are rarely checked due to financial problems. This research will develop monitoring of water quality for shrimp ponds, especially vannamei shrimp using IoT-based devices and methods data logging to monitor water temperature and turbidity parameters, record sensor data, and provide water quality status for shrimp ponds based on water movement, water turbidity and temperature. water. The device data logger uses a microcontroller called NodeMCU ESP8266 and two sensors, namely the LDR sensor and dallas ds18b20 water temperature sensor, the device data logger connects to the internet and sends all water quality monitoring data to a Google database service called Firebase. Then, the algorithm is used k nearest neighbors which runs on web hosting Heroku to predict water conditions and shrimp health. The results of water quality monitoring can be accessed through an Android-based application using the framework Flutter which contains widgets, detailed monitoring and prediction of shrimp health and water conditions with data accuracy of 97.5% and 99.9%.
