Abstract :
Fire is a disaster that can occur anywhere and anytime, fire disaster can harm many parties, especially those concerned with the event of the fire. The use and application of technology is one way to reduce the incidence of more adverse and fatal fires. The purpose of this research is to design a prototype temperature sensor monitoring and smoke sensor to detect iot-based fires to monitor the occupants of the house (user) in case of a fire when outside the house. The hardware suite consists of lm35 temperature sensor and MQ2 smoke sensor, Nodemcu ESP8266 as a processor of sensor inputs which will then be sent to the website. By using telegram application that will display notifications in case of fire in the occupants of the house that is not in the place (house) wirelessly, and by using the website dehow monitor. The research that the authors did was to use prototype development research methods. The test method that the author uses is the Black Box Method. The results of the test system design can be concluded that the system can run properly. Prototypes created can provide output in the form of notifications via telegram and provide reports to the website. The result of the design of this system is expected to be one of the reference iot-based fire potential prevention systems with early notification so that handling can be done appropriately and quickly. From these results, it can be concluded that the system gets an average delay in QoS testing showing delay during the day is worse with a time of 389.16 ms compared to the morning with a time of 6.3 ms and at night with a time of 140.1 ms, this is because during the day operators access more or more busy than usage in the morning and evening.
