Abstract :
Abstract – Telecommunication growth in Indonesia has reached the fourth generation, or
we know as a Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology. All telecommunication operators
compete to provide the best service and up to date. Need a good planning proccess to create
a reliable network quality. In the LTE network planning process there is planning based
on cell coverage and planning based on cell capacity. This research is designing LTE
network in Semarang city, with 850 Mhz and 1800 Mhz of frequency and bandwidth 10
Mhz.The simulation softwere used is Atoll. Planning process that must be done is to do
some calculations such as Radio link budget, user estimation, eNodeB location, service
model clasification , network throughput and resource capacity. Planning based on
coverage with frequency of 850 Mhz in average RSRP of -47.98 dBm, average SINR of
15.57 dB and average throughput of 25,089 Mbps. While at the frequency of 1800 Mhz
obtained average RSRP of -73.4 dBm, average SINR of 11.81 dB and average throughput
of 20.043 Mbps. Planning based on capacity with 10 Mhz bandwidth using 64QAM
modulation and MIMO 2X2 antenna obtained upLink cell throughput of 66.674.86 Kbps
and cell Throughput downlink of 66.657.58 Kbps.
