Abstract :
Users of transportation services in Indonesia is very much can not be denied again, it is proved
by many transportation service companies both on land, air, and sea. One of the transportation
service users who have many users is land transportation. One of the most commonly used modes of
land transportation is the bus, because the bus can accommodate a large number of passengers and
can cover long distances and there are already a lot of otobus companies in Indonesia that have a
road-worthy bus fleet. One of the otobus company in Indonesia is Pahala Kencana. During this time
the prospective passenger if you want to message the bus ticket must come directly to the agent or
terminal to buy tickets. By leveraging technological advancements of already android-based
smartphones as well as the internet, bus ticket booking applications online can help prospective
passengers to find information about bus departure destinations, bus ticket prices, and bus ticket
messages without having to come directly to an agent or terminal and prospective passengers can
track the position of the bus that has been ordered. The method for system development used is
Prototyping method, this method allows application developers to create applications that suit the
needs of application users. Based on the results of questionnaires that have been distributed to 30
correspondents, 84.25% of correspondents agree with the application because it can facilitate the
prospective passengers to reserve bus tickets and tracking feature that is enough to help passengers
to know the position of the bus being climbed. Further application development is expected to add
features for ticket payments directly within the app.
