Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a wireless network involving several sensor nodes that are connected to each other to be able to send and receive data. Sensor nodes on WSN have limited capabilities in memory capacity, bandwidth and power. From these limitations, the use of energy consumption at the sensor node uses batteries as power consumption. Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) is a routing protocol on a clustering-based WSN, this protocol aims to distribute energy consumption among all nodes in the network. LEACH is a cluster based, the number of cluster heads and cluster members generated by LEACH is an important parameter in its working system. In this study, scenarios were carried out on the Direct Transmission and LEACH protocols. The LEACH method proves that power savings can be made compared to Direct Transmission, seen from the throughput value when compared to LEACH there is a difference of 38.46%. Keywords: Wireless Sensor Network, Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy, Direct Transmission, throughput.
