Abstract :
The use of light fidelity (Li-Fi) technology is a future communication, especially indoors. This utilization can use the movable LED panel (LP) scheme which has good performance and is not too significant compared to the fixed LP scenario. However, the propagation characteristics of the Li-Fi system are still limited to line of sight (LoS) conditions. So, to overcome this, a multiplexing system is needed, in addition to bandwidth efficiency, it also supports increasing the bit rate. In addition, the distance between the lamp driver (transmitter) and the receiver is an important discussion to determine the characteristics of propagation losses. Therefore, this study focuses on analyzing the Li-Fi indoor multiplexing system based on the parameters of distance and bit rate variation in multiplexing 2 and 4 channels, with distance variations of 3, 4 and 5 meters, and bit rate variations from 10 to 40 Mbps for every 10 Mbps increasement. The received signal quality analysis parameters include signal to noise ratio (SNR), bit error rate (BER), and Q-Factor. Based on simulation, the smaller bit rate variation and the greater wavelength, will make higher signal quality. Based on the results of BER and Q-Factor, it can be seen that the system performance meets the ITU-T standard with the highest range of parameter variations, namely at a bit rate of 20 Mbps and a distance of 4 meters for all wavelength variations (2 channel multiplexing) as well as at 30 Mbps and a distance of 4 meters. meters for the wavelengths of 480 nm and 505 nm (4 channel multiplexing).
