Abstract :
Monitoring systems to measure the water level in water reservoirs mostly use ultrasonic sensors. One of the ultrasonic sensors that already has a waterproof feature is the JSN-SR041 ultrasonic sensor. However, this sensor has a weakness, namely a high sensor reading error rate of 6% to 8.5%, thereby reducing the accuracy of sensor readings. One way to reduce errors that occur in sensors is to implement a Moving Average Filter (MAF) data filter There are two MAF used in this study, namely MAF 5 and MAF 10 because to compare the use of MAF in period 5 and period 10. The purpose of this study is to test the sensor by comparing the error value of the JSN-SRO47 ultrasonic sensor if not using MAF by using MAF 5 and MAF 10. For the monitoring system and the database of sensor measurement results used in this study, the Antares platform was used. The test results of the JSN SRO4T ultrasonic sensor reading value state that if the sensor does not use MAF. the sensor reading value results in an average error of 5.41% Then if the sensor uses MAF 5 produces an average error of 3.42% and MAF 10 produces an average error of 5.21% These results prove that by implementing the Moving Average Filter on the JSN SRO4T ultrasonic sensor readings, it can reduce sensor reading errors Keywords Antares, JSN SROIT Ultrasonic Sensor, Moving Average Filter, Water Tanks
