Abstract :
Planning a VLAN network based on SDN and using POX as a controller. The VLAN network that will be simulated in the ITTP rectorate building uses 9 VLAN IDs, namely VLANs 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90. Each VLAN ID in each host in the rectorate building consists of 5 floors. The research was conducted by measuring QoS, when user traffic in the Rectorate Building was 100% or 500 users. Then on each VLAN with varied user traffic will perform an analysis of QoS with the parameters used are throughput, delay, jitter and packet loss. D-ITG tools as a data traffic generator sent. QoS measurements will be carried out 10 times with TIPHON standardization then the QoS value will be taken on average in order to get accurate results. Tests using the TCP protocol with test data of 50 Mb and 60 Mb. The average value of QoS in each VLAN using the TCP protocol can be implemented properly. The highest delay value in VLAN 10 with 375 users is 0.351 ms and 0.359 ms (standard <= 0%). The lowest average throughput value was obtained in VLAN 10 of 5.158 Mbps and 5.1585 Mbps. The highest average throughput value was obtained on VLAN 80 of 5.162 Mbps, and 5.1621 Mbps. The higher the throughput value, the better the performance of the network.
