Abstract :
At PT TASPEN (PERSERO) attendance affects the monthly income of employees as well as one of the determinants of intensive bonuses. The attendance system uses a common fingerprint machine and is commonly used to record attendance at the company. But the problem is a long queue during attendance. The fingerprint machine also cannot be used for the absence of employees who are on duty outside the office. The current attendance system also has not been integrated with employee self service such as filing leave, permission, and overtime. Problems in the current system are carried out by observation and analysis. In addition to using object-oriented approaches also use the PIECES method based on performance, information, economic, control, efficiency, and services. The results of the analysis are used to support the software design proposal, both database design and interface display design. The sources used are data obtained from interviews and field observations. Based on the analysis, the solution to the problem of queuing and absent for employees who carry out activities, proposed the design of a mobile attendance system utilizing an android smartphone that authenticates using face recognition also contains a mobile positioning that is detecting presence through office Wi-Fi and GPS. Key words: mobile attendance, face recognition, PIECES Pada PT TASPEN (PERSERO) data kehadiran menentukan penghasilan bulanan karyawan dan menjadi salah satu faktor penentu bonus intensif. Sistem absensi menggunakan mesin fingerprint lazim dan biasa digunakan untuk mencatat kehadiran di sebuah perusahaan. Akan tetapi penggunaan mesin fingerprint menyebabkan panjangnya antrian pada saat absensi. Mesin fingerprint juga tidak dapat digunakan untuk absensi karyawan yang sedang bertugas diluar kantor. Sistem absensi saat ini juga belum terintegrasi dengan employee self service seperti pengajuan cuti, ijin, dan lembur. Berbagai macam permasalahan pada sistem yang berjalan saat ini dilakukan observasi dan analisa. Analisa yang dilakukan selain menggunakan pendekatan berorientasi objek juga menggunakan metode PIECES berdasarkan aspek performance, information, economic, control, efficiency, dan services. Hasil analisa digunakan sebagai dasar usulan perancangan perangkat lunak, baik perancangan basis data maupun perancangan tampilan antar muka. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan adalah data data yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara yang dilakukan bersamaan dengan observasi lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil analisa, maka untuk mengatasi permasalahan antrian dan absensi bagi karyawan yang bertugas diluar kantor diusulkan perancangan sistem absensi yang bersifat mobile memanfaatkan smartphone android yang autentikasinya menggunakan face recognition, memiliki kemampuan mobile positioning yaitu mendeteksi keberadaan karyawan melalui Wi-Fi kantor dan GPS.
