Leoni Alethea Bernice Iola M. (51145510), 2018, †Analysis In-house Training Appliance For Improve Performance of Rating Ship’s Crew in PT. Korin Global Mandiri". Minithesis, Port and Shipping Department, Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic, Semarang. Supervisor I: Sri Murdiwati., S.Sos., M.Si. Supervisor II: Capt. Suherman., M.Mar International shipping companies are required to have a potentian ship’s crew. The more advanced globalization era is the more intense competition between each shipping company. Shipping companies compete to be able to provide competent ship crews. To be able to compete against each other PT. Korin Global Mandiri provides training for its crew, called the In-house training program. This training aims to improve the skills and self-development of each crew member in addition to improving the crew's performance on board. The purpose of this research is to find how the implementation of In-house training at PT. Korin Global Mandiri, as well as obstacles that hinder the implementation of the in-house training. In this study the author uses descriptive, qualitative methods. The used data sources are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study is the application of in-house training at PT. Korin Global Mandiri has not been implemented optimally with several obstacles, including: lack of awareness of crew members on the importance of training, crew members who are less skilled in English, and damage on supporting facilities and equipment implementation of in-house training.
