Mustholiq, M.M., M.Mar.E, Supervisor II: Henny Wahyu WardhaniI, M.Pd Ships can experience accidents such as a fire, therefore we must pay attention to the effects of fire hazards, especially at sea. Given this, the ability of the emergency fire pump is very important to extinguish fires that occur at any time and in order to achieve a sense of security and comfort for all crews. Besides that the ability of the emergency fire pump is also very important to reduce material losses and the lives of the crew. The method used in this thesis is a Qualitative Descriptive method with fishbone analysis techniques and fault tree analysis as a method to determine the causes and efforts to overcome them. As for the formulation of the problem of this research are the factors that influence the lack of emergency fire pump pressure, the impact of lack pressure on the pump, and efforts made to overcome the lack of pressure on the pump. The main factor that causes the lack of pressure on the emergency fire pump according to the FTA method is lack of maintenance, maintenance is not in accordance with the procedure, whereas according to the Fishbone method is a decrease in pump rotation, and a leaky suction pipe. water capacity, and according to the FTA method, the pump cannot produce maximum pressure. Efforts are made to make the emergency fire pump pressure to be optimal according to the Fishbone method, which is to choose the best packing quality and when packing is always greaseed. namely using a good filter and cleaning it if it is dirty.
