Abstract :
This research is done to analyze the Hotel Business Program Podomoro University?s curriculum influenced hotel business? student batch of 2015 personal
development in their cognitive. By using the theory of cognitive development by
Jean Piaget, and also supported by experts (lecturers) whom responsible of making,
observing and evaluating the Hotel Business? Curriculum itself. This research is
made because a lot of students have their intelligence developed.
In this research, the writer used the qualitative method to analyze the Hotel
Business Curriculum to student?s personal development in detail and deep. To
acquire the data, the writer took sample of 6 graduate students (based on purposive
sampling) of batch 2015 from 60 Hotel Business? students, with observation and
interview research instrument. The obtained data is a primary data and taken in one
period of time at the moment.
The result of research shows that students? intelligence growth is the most
affected variable by influence of the hotel business? curriculum. Curriculum of hotel
business Podomoro University has given a great impact to student?s personal
development such as hard skills and soft skills in order to face the real hospitality
industry.
