Abstract :
One of product that related to NTT is palmyra leaves weaving product. Weaving are one of the culture in NTT that now are left out by now a day generation. To preserve this culture we should take the opportunities to see that there’s a big market not only cultural market, but also social environment impact market that now growing all over the world. To win on this market we’ve to creative enough to make improvement to the product. One of the improvements is natural dyeing technique for palmyra leaves. This research is focusing on the development of mordanting techinique that are much known for the colorosation of fabrics. This can be implemented also on plamyra leaves as one of the natural fibres. Some example and testing are applied to give more evidence to this coloring technique. By using natural coloring technicnique it can raise the value of this weaving product as a purely natural and green product that good for environment and to preserve culture about NTT natural dyeing technique.
