Abstract :
Market is one of the important point on the economic activities in society as means for
meeting between sellers and buyers. One of the earliest markets that stood was the traditional market,
where the traditional market was a market that implemented a bargaining system. Traditional
markets, which are the centers of economic exchange through sellers and buyers, unfortunately, have
to continued to grow steadily. In the last 5 years, the number of markets was recorded to decrease
by around 8.1% on year from 13.500 markets in 2007 to 9.559 markets in 2015. This figure inversely
proportional with the growth of the modern market which growth 31% on year. In a old markets in
Jakarta, Grogol Markets is a traditional market that has been established for around 31 years in the
Grogol area, West Jakarta. Grogol Market which is a potential point of the surrounding community
to meet daily needs, buying and selling activities, and sports, So it becomes an important means fot
the community around the West Jakarta and Grogol areas. Unfortunately, The Grogol Market is
physically inadequate and needs to be improved on several sides, Phenomena appear that result in
