Abstract :
Produk teh daun Stevia rebaudiana (B.) dibuat untuk mengurangi resiko penyakit akibat konsumsi gula yang berlebih dan dibuat suatu sediaan yang praktis saat dikonsumsi. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui nilai LD50 serta identifikasi pengaruh pemberian produk teh daun Stevia rebaudiana (B.) pada organ hati, lambung dan ginjal yang di berikan per oral. Metode uji toksisitas akut oral yang digunakan adalah OECD 425 Up and Down Procedure. Dosis yang diberikan pada hewan uji sebesar 5000 mg/kgbb dan mencit kontrol normal diberi aquadest. Tanda-tanda toksisitas diamati selama 14 hari terutama 2 hari pertama dengan pengamatan khusus pada 4 jam pertama. Nilai LD50 ditetapkan dengan software AOT425statpgm serta histopatologi pada organ hati, lambung dan ginjal. Pemberian produk teh daun Stevia rebaudiana (B.) peroral pada dosis 5000 mg/kgbb tidak menyebabkan efek toksik pada hewan uji. Nilai LD50 lebih besar dari 5000 mg/kgbb termasuk ke dalam kategori praktis tidak toksik. Tidak terdapat tanda-tanda toksisitas secara makroskopik dan mikroskopik pada organ hati, lambung dan ginjal.;---Stevia rebaudiana (B.) leaf tea products are made to reduce the risk of disease due to excessive sugar consumption and a practical preparation when consumed. The purpose of this study was to determine the LD50 value and the identification of the influence of the administration of Stevia rebaudiana (B.) leaf tea products on the liver, stomach and kidneys which were given orally. The oral acute toxicity test method used was the OECD 425 Up and Down Procedure. The dose given to the test animals was 5000 mg / kg and normal control mice were given aquadest. Signs of toxicity were observed for 14 days, especially the first 2 days with special observations in the first 4 hours. The LD50 value is determined by AOT425statpgm software and histopathology in the liver, stomach and kidney organs. The administration of oral tea products from Stevia rebaudiana (B.) at a dose of 5000 mg / kg does not cause toxic effects on test animals. LD50 values greater than 5000 mg / kg included in the practical category are not toxic. There are no signs of macroscopic and microscopic toxicity in the liver, stomach and kidneys.
