Abstract :
Objectives - This study aims to examine, analyze and obtain empirical evidence regarding profitability and investment decisions on firm value with dividend policy as a moderating variable. Design/methodology/approach - The population in this study is a consumer goods sector manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2007 - 2022 with a total of 86 companies. The sample selection was carried out using purposive sampling method and obtained a total sample of 19 companies and 304 observations. The analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is multiple regression analysis using Eviews 9 software. Findings - The results of this study indicate that the variable profitability and investment decisions have a positive effect on firm value. The dividend policy can moderate the relationship between profitability and firm value, and dividend policy can moderate the relationship between investment decisions and firm value. Originality/value ? In this study the focus is on manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector with a 16-year period from 2007-2022 which can differentiate it from previous research.
