Abstract :
The purpose of the research is to find out the effectiveness of using Story Face strategy to teach student’s writing skill in writing narrative text in the tenth grade of SMA NEGERI 3 NGANJUK in the Academic Year of 2019/2020. The methodology of the research was experimental research (one group pre-test post-test group design). The research was done in SMA NEGERI 3 NGANJUK in the academic year of 2019/2020. The students of the tenth grade as the population with total 360 students, the sample used by the writer is X IPS 4 which consists of 36 students. The technique of collecting data used essay test and the technique of data analysis in this research is statistical analysis data t-test. The result of students’ writing skill in narrative text before taught by using Story Face technique at the X IPS 4 students the average pre-test score is 68,6 and post-test 81,5. Based on the t-table, the value of the t-0,05 for df 35 is 1,689 and value of t-test is 5,784. It can be concluded as follow: T-test value >T-table. therefore, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. That is: “The effectiveness of using Story Face strategy to teach student’s writing skill in writing narrative text in the tenth grade of SMA NEGERI 3 NGANJUK in the Academic Year of 2019/2020â€.
