Abstract :
This research analyzes the travel patterns of millennial tourists in the West Bandung
Regency. The travel pattern is made up of several components, including tourist
attractions, facilities and accessibility, tourist profile, and length of stay. This research
is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Data was collected through
observation, questionnaires, and literature studies. A purposive sampling method was
used to distribute questionnaires to 100 respondents. After the data is collected, data
analysis is carried out using a continuum line with a Likert scale measuring instrument.
The results of this research indicate that millennial tourists who visits West Bandung
Regency are aged 22 to 24 years (66%) and come from Greater Jakarta (47%) with
travel motivations namely escape or getting entertainment (71%) and recreation, then
choose to travel with family (60%). The tourist attraction that is the most preferred
choice of millennial tourists is the attraction that can accommodate their needs
according to the characteristics of millennial tourists, namely affordable prices,
family-friendly, where there is official information online, and can be shared on social
media. Based on the results of the study, there were 15 tourist attractions that were
most chosen by respondents, and 12 of them met the characteristics of millennial
tourists. Supporting facilities and infrastructure in the form of accommodation,
restaurants, and shopping places in West Bandung Regency are quite good, adequate,
and varied, so that they can meet the needs of millennial tourists. Accessibility as a
supporter of the movement of millennial tourists in West Bandung Regency is quite
good and already has directions. The duration of millennial tourist visits in West
Bandung Regency is 2-3 days, with the duration of visits at tourist attractions being an
average of 3?4 hours. Based on these results, this study recommends three travel
patterns in the form of a base site, stopover, and chaining loop for millennial tourists
in West Bandung Regency.
