Abstract :
The rapid growth of online shopping activity which reached 38% in the
second quarter of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered growth in the
use of freight forwarding services in Indonesia, including the company LEGA Paket
Bandung. However, the existence of a local government regulation that limits the
number of employees in the office to 50% of the building's capacity, poses a new
obstacle for the company. Research was also conducted to find out how the
company runs the flow of handling the work it has, the challenges or obstacles that
arise due to the COVID-19 pandemic and how the company responds to these
challenges or obstacles.
This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection
was carried out using observation instruments and semi-structured interviews with
a key informant at LEGA Package Bandung which was selected based on purposive
sampling technique. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out,
it is concluded that the obstacles that exist in the LEGA Package Bandung arise
due to no changes in the handling flow carried out after the COVID-19 pandemic
even though the number of employees has decreased. As a result, this also has a
direct effect on the workload when carrying out the cargo acceptance process,
where there is an erratic change in the schedule for receiving goods.
