Abstract :
The research aims to know a macrostructures and microstructures of Wasiat Renungan Masa Penglaman Baru, a literary written by Syaikh Zainuddin. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected by reading, verifying, categorizing and underlining the data. the data were analyzed by classifying, describing, analyzing and make a conclusion about the data. The results show that in macrostructure there is theme, the theme is belief, sincerely and continuing to defend the NW. Meanwhile, in microstructures there are: (1) Syntaxes style consisting of persuasion, impression, attribution, cohesion and pronoun, (2) Semantic style consisting of detail, (3) Stylistic style consisting lexical choice and (4) Rhetoric style comprising of hyperbole and repetition. The researcher hopes that this thesis can be used as a reference by the next researcher who wants to research about macrostructure and microstructure of the literary text, especially to the students of English Education Department in University of Gunung Rinjani.
