Abstract :
Human resources have an important role in improving services and achieving company goals. Therefore human resources should be treated fairly and properly by taking into account employee job satisfaction so that enthusiasm for work is higher. This research was conducted at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is to analyze: 1) Characteristics of employees. 2) Employee's perception of promotion, job transfer and employee job satisfaction. 3) The effect of promotions and job transfers on employee job satisfaction. The sample used in this study were 100 samples using proportionate stratified random sampling method. The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of PTPN V Pekanbaru employees are an average age of 37.65 years with an average level of education of 15.60 years, 11.42 years of work and 2.9 dependents. The highest average of employee perceptions of job promotions is satisfied with 42 people, very satisfied perceptions of job transfers of 34 people and satisfied perceptions of employee job satisfaction of 55 people. Based on the results of the F test conducted can be seen that the promotion and mutation of positions simultaneously influence the employee job satisfaction. Based on the results of the t test it is known that partially promotions and job transfers have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction.
