Abstract :
This study aims to determine and analyze the Supervision of the Kempang Crossing Transportation by the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Meranti Islands Regency Transportation Service (Study of Rangsang Barat District) with the monitoring assessment indicators used include Determining Standards, Measuring Implementation, Comparing Implementation with Standards, and Making Improvements . This type of research is a quantitative descriptive survey, while the data collection techniques used consist of primary data collected using questionnaires, interviews and secondary data collected using observation and documentation techniques. while the data analysis technique used is to use a frequency table tool. Based on this analysis technique, the researchers assessed and concluded that the Supervision of the Kempang Crossing Transport by the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Meranti Islands Regency Transportation Service (Study of Rangsang Barat District) was categorized as quite implemented. The inhibiting factor is the lack of the role of the agency in conducting supervision, so that the supervision carried out by the Department of Transportation has not been maximized. Then the di meranti weather factor which changes and the distance to the Kempang port location is far away, making the Department of Transportation only monitor the Kempang port in the capital. Therefore, there are still many kempangs that have not completed the facilities and infrastructure according to the standards set. This is due to the lack of supervision from the Department of Transportation .
