Abstract :
This research proposed to student grad VIIIPI MTS Ummatan Wasathan Pekanbaru Academic Year 2017-2018 by the application The Power of Two model by using handout. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that was conducted in March 2018 to May 2018. The subjects were students grade VIIIPI MTS Ummatan Wasathan Pekanbaru. The technigue of data analysis was using descriptive analysis. The processed date is the cognitive learing. Result from data analysis students, showed cognitive abilities obtained before the CAR was 77,18%, after the first cycle of absorption CAR students is 84,89% increased 7,71% from the prior CAR. In the second cycle students absorption was 94,21% increased of 9,32% from cycle I. The completeness of classical cognitive value before CAR is 71,87%, the first cycle 84,37% increase of 12,5% from the prior CAR and the second cycle II of 100% up 15,63% of the cycle I. Based on this research can be concluded that the application The Power of Two using the handout can increasing students cognitive abilities garde IPA Class VIIIPI MTS Ummatan Wasathan Pekanbaru Academic Year 2017/2018.
