Abstract :
This study aims to determine the role of tourism and cultural services towards the development of Sipogas Lake tourism objects in the sub-district of Rambah along with the Rokan Hulu Regency. The type of research was descriptive by using quantitative and qualitative methods with data collection techniques carried out by observation techniques. And the research conducted by direct observation to the subject of research, documentation by taking the data taken in the form of notes or documentation by analyzing these documents about the subject under study, in-depth interviews using interview guidelines where the researcher held a direct question and answer with several informants related to the discussion of this research and questionnaire by giving a number of written questions to the respondent and supported by primary and secondary data obtained during the study which is directly related to the topic of this research. The research subject was the Government of the Rokan Hulu District Tourism and Culture Office. Results of the study indicate that the role of the tourism and cultural services towards the development of Sipogas lake tourism objects in the sub-district encompasses the sub-district of Rambah along with the Rokan Hulu Regency. According to the responses of the respondents as a whole in the category of "good enough". This can be seen from the lack of the role of the agency in the form of promotional activities. The theoretical concept that used according to George Terry with the specified indicators was taken from planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring. Finally, attraction to tourists became the factors that influence the role of tourism and cultural services towards the development of the Sipogas lake.
