Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to study the discussion of agility and running speed on the skills of dribbling students of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. This type of research is correlational. The population and sample used in this study were the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru who won 31 people. The data analysis technique used is the multiple conversion value test. Based on the results of research that has been done can conclude (1) the contribution of agility to the dribling skill of student basketball class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru is 35.88%, (2) the contribution of running speed to the dribling skill of student basketball class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru is 28.41%, (3) the contribution of agility and running speed to the dribling skill of student basketball class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru is 36,97%.
