Abstract :
The Porous asphalt is an open-graded asphalt mixture of more than 85%, providing a large air cavity. The air cavity is expected to pass water if it rains, in the making of the pavement using an aggregate that comes from two different areas, in Riau Province can be obtained at PT Virajaya. Therefore, the utilization of local materials to be able to compare the use of the aggregate base pangkalan and 13 Koto Kampar contained in the province of Riau against the asphalt Porus (Jauhari,2013) This research is done by the Marshall Method (SNI 06-2489-1991) and using the specification Aunstralian asphalt Pavement Acociation 1997. The composition of the asphalt mixture of Porus aggregate base use obtained gross aggregate 11.99%, medium aggregate 84.08%, stone ash 1.91% and sand 2.02% and the aggregate use 13 Koto Kampar obtained crude aggregate; 17.14% of the current aggregate is 80.46%, stone ash is 1.88% and sand is 0.52%. From the aggregate test results in the laboratory, the value of asphalt content of the plan gained 4.0%; 4.5%; 5%; 5.5%; and 6% for a porus asphalt mixture with stone ash Filler 100%. Results obtained characteristic values of Marshall (stability, Flow, VIM, MQ, VMA, VFA) and permeability. Results of the comparison of aggregate use both give good results on the asphalt content of 4% and 4.5% that meet the specifications asphalt Porus in accordance Aunstralian asphalt pavement acociation 1997 and optimum Asphalt content base aggregate use Pangkalan is 4.40% Whereas XIII Koto Kampar 4.35%
