Abstract :
This research aims to determine the supervision of the Transportation Office on the safety of Speed Boat passengers cross Tembilahan-Kuala Enok District Indragiri Hilir. The surveillance research indicators used are the determination of the implementation standards, determination of the measurement of standard implementation, measurement of implementation standards, comparison of standard implementation, taking corrective action when necessary. This type of research located in District Indragiri Hilir relations Office is a descriptive survey, meaning that it is to investigate the questionnaire list as a data collection tool then the collected data is used as the main raw material for analyzing empirical conditions and objectivity of the existence of research objectives in the meticulous location. There are 5 population groups and samples in this study, namely Indragiri Hilir District Liaison Officer, which amounted to 3 people, the owner of the speed boat with the cross Kuala Enok District of Indragiri Hilir as many as 4 people, speed boat agent cross Tembilahan-Kuala Enok District of Indragiri Hilir as many as 4 people, skipper speed boat cross Tembilahan-Kuala Enok District of Indragiri Hilir as many as 8 people, and the community service users/speed boat passengers cross Tembilahan-Kuala Enok District Indragiri Hilir as many as 30 people. The total number of samples established from all five population groups and this sample amounted to 49 people. In this study used the types and techniques of primary data collection collected using questionnaire list techniques and interviews then secondary data collected using observation techniques and data analysis techniques using frequency table tools. So, based on this analysis technique researchers assess and conclude that the supervision of the Transportation Office on the safety of Speed Boat passengers cross Tembilahan ? Kuala Enok District of Indragiri Hilir at assessment intervals less fulfilled.
