Abstract :
This research aims to improve students? mathematical learning outcomes of VIII3 MTs Bustanul Ulum Pekanbaru through the implementation of cooperative learning type Think Pair Share (TPS). The subject in this research is students in grade VIII3 MTs Bustanul Ulum Pekanbaru in Academic Year 2018/2019 whose total was 24 students. The kind in this research used is classroom action research. This research conducted two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The techniques of analysis data in this research used qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative data obtained from the active observation of teachers and students during the study and quantitative data are obtained from the daily results of students. Based on the KKM's achievement analysis, it showed that the percentage of the compensation in cycle I was 50.00% (12 students) with an average of 68.37 and a cycle of II 62.50% (15 students) with an average of 73,58 which at the base score was of only 41.66% (10 students) with an average of 63.75. Based on the results of the research, the implementation of Think Pair Share (TPS) Model of cooperative learning can increase the outcome of students ' mathematics study in grade VIII3 MTs Bustanul Ulum Pekanbaru in Academic Year 2018/2019.
