Abstract :
This study aims to find out about the Implementation of Cultural Arts Learning (Creative Dance) in Class XI IPA 2 SMA N 1 Rambah Samo, Rokan Hulu Regency, Academic Year 2018/2019. Theories used by Yunus Abidin and Hamruni. The approach used in this research is descriptive analysis method with qualitative data. Learning consists of three stages of activities including preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities. Data collection through observation, interviews and documentation through the implementation of cultural arts learning. The subjects of this study were one art and culture teacher and 27 students of class XI IPA 2 of SMAN 1 Rambah Samo, Rokan Hulu Regency. The results of conducting this research were that the curriculum used by SMAN 1 Rambah Samo in Rokan Hulu Regency had used the 2013 curriculum, and the syllabus used had used the equivalent SMA syllabus as determined by the government. The learning methods used are lecture, demonstration and group discussion methods. The material is learned about dance functions, dance types, aesthetic values and dance accompaniment, with an allocation of time 7 times a meeting x 2 hours of study @ 45 minutes. The results of student learning that students are able to make a creative dance work in groups well, this can be seen from the results of a good student evaluation. The facilities and infrastructure provided by the school are good enough, only it needs to be equipped again.
