Abstract :
The Drug Investigation Unit is a component of carrying out the main task of drug investigation at the Resort Police level which is under the National Police Chief. Methods of collecting data using observation, interviews, and documentation. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the role of the Pekanbaru Police Narcotics Investigation Unit is in anticipating drug trafficking by conducting pre-emptive programs in the form of counseling and socialization, preventive in the form of supervision and raids on drug-prone routes, and repressive measures in the form of prosecution, arrest and giving effect. deterrent to users and dealers.
