Abstract :
ANGGA MEILINDIA. Effect of Composition of Planting Media and
NPK Compound Dose Fertilizer on Growth and Production of Mustard Pagoda
(Brassica narinosa L) on Verticulture Cultivation Systems (guided by YOPIE
MOELYOHADI and SYAFRULLAH).
This study aims to determine and study and obtain the composition of the
planting media and NPK compound doses that can provide the best influence on
the growth and production of mustard pagoda (Brassica narinosa L) on vertebral
cultivation systems. This research has been carried out in the Agriculture Faculty
of Muhammadiyah University of Palembang's research garden. The research
began from September - December 2019. This study used a Split Plot design with
9 treatment combinations that were repeated 3 times and with 5 sample plants
from each treatment. The main plot treatment is the application of the composition
of the planting media, which consists of: 1). M1 = 2 parts soil: 1 part rice husk: 1
part compost chicken manure, 2). M2 = 1 part soil: 2 parts rice husk: 1 part
compost chicken manure Dn 3). M3 = 1 part soil: 1 part rice husk: 2 parts
compost chicken manure. While the treatment of subplots is the application of
NPK Compound fertilizer doses, which consist of: 1). D1 = 25 g / plot, 2). D2 =
50 g / plot and D3 = 75 g / plot. The results of the study, showed that the
treatment of the application of the composition of the planting media, NPK
compound fertilizer application had a very significant effect on all variables
observed, and the interaction between treatments also had a significant effect to all
variables observed, except for the plant height variable had no significant effect.
BNJ test results show that the combination of the application of the composition
of the planting media: 1 part soil: 1 part rice husk and: 2 parts compost chicken
manure and NPK compound fertilizer treatment with a dose of 75 g / plot give the
highest yield to the growth and production of pagoda mustard plants in
verticulture cultivation systems, with an average yield of 2.08 kg of fresh weight
of plants/potting media.
