ABSTRACT
LIDIA MOOM 2016 Exploring Student? Motivation in English Learning at
English Language Education Departement of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong.
This researcher was conducted to determine how is student learning
motivation, the researcher used qualitative methods and design is experimental by
using interview, participants or this the research population is taken from 5 (five)
semester 7 (seven) students at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong.
The results showed that the use of interview instrument was to find out
how students? motivation in learning was and whether it could increase students?
learning motivation, especially in English education at the Universitas
Muhammadiyah Sorong. The results of study showed that from the 5 (five)
students who were researched (95%) the results were different and they got very
good learning motivation in lectures. Therefore, the researcher want to conclude
that the use of qualitative/interview methods can increase students motivation in
lectures, especially in English education at the Universitas Muhammadiyah
Sorong.
