Abstract :
This research aims to implement the Profile Matching method in determining the line-up position of football players. Profile Matching is a method of determining decisions with variables that must be the same as the standard. In football, the line-up or main players are determined by the coach by looking at the players' track records. This track record is obtained by looking at a player's playing ability over a certain period of time according to each player's position. Processing this data can use a decision support system to assist the coach in selecting the player line-up. The Profile Matching process is comparing individual values with standard values therefore the difference in gap values is known. This research takes a case study at the Sparadis United Club. The profile matching method consists of 5 stages, namely calculating gap values, determining value weights, calculating core factors and secondary factors, calculating the total value of each criterion and ranking. Based on the results of the research conducted, the profile matching method can be used for decision making for determining line-up positions. This research builds a decision support system that can help coaches make decisions about line-up positions for soccer players using the PHP programming language and the code-igniter framework.
