Abstract :
Menstrual pain or dysmenorrhoea is a gynecological complaint due to an imbalance of the hormone progesterone in the blood, causing pain and discomfort that most often occurs in women. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of adding kinesio taping on abdominal muscle relaxation exercises on pain in adolescents. The design used is a descriptive narrative design with a literature review approach (literature study). Sources of data used are from research journals that have been previously researched, this study uses 5 journals and 2 texbooks. The result showed that there was an additional effect on abdominal muscle relaxation exercises on pain in young women, this was because during menstruation, blood circulation and oxygen decreased. The impact on the uterus is reduced blood flow and oxygen circulation causing pain. Kinesio installation taps the muscles which is useful for reducing the degree of paon, increasing the scope of the joint space. The conclusion is that the addition of kinesio taping to abdominal muscle relaxation can reduce menstrual pain in young women.
