Abstract :
This research was conducted in Molowahu Village, Tibawa Sub-District, and Gorontalo Regency. The purpose of this research was to analyze the forms of rural youth involvement in food security programs and to analyze the factors that determine the involvement of rural youth in the food security program in Molowahu Village, Tibawa Sub-District. The research was conducted on 73 youths spread across seven hamlets. The results showed that the level of rural youth involvement in household food security activities was in the low category (score 23.29). The ordinal logistic regression model obtained showed that the motivation variable showed the greatest opportunity to increase youth involvement in household food security activities. The results of the model test show that the motivation variable shows a very significant relationship with involvement in all types of household food security activities. Household economic variables and environmental support show a very real relationship with involvement in some types of household food security activities. Meanwhile, the youth characteristics variable did not show a real correlation with involvement in household food security activities. Household economic variables generally show a negative correlation with youth involvement in household food security activities.
