Abstract :
Behavior is a person's actions that can be observed or not which are manifested in knowledge, attitudes and practices. Stunting prevention behavior can be prevented with a specific and sensitive approach. The aim of the research is to determine the description of maternal behavior in preventing stunting in the work area of the Tilango Health Center, Gorontalo Regency. The research design uses descriptive quantitative methods. The sample consisted of 74 mothers who had babies aged 0-24 months using simple random sampling techniques. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The results of the research found that the average age of the mother was 20-30 years, the highest education was high school, and the occupation was mostly housewife. It can be concluded that maternal behavior in preventing stunting in the Tilango Health Center working area, Gorontalo Regency, can be seen from knowledge of 75% in the sufficient category, attitude of 72% in the sufficient category and practice of 74% in the sufficient category.
