Abstract :
The Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) for the elderly is a forum for health services for the elderly. Whether or not the elderly visit the posyandu regularly can be influenced by the knowledge of the elderly. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between knowledge and visits to elderly posyandu in Payunga Village, Batudaa District. Analytical survey research design with a cross sectional study approach, an elderly population of 106 elderly people, a sample size of 52 people using accidental sampling technique. The research results showed all respondents had a low level of knowledge, visits to the posyandu were categorized as irregular as many as 16 respondents (30.8%). Respondents whose level of knowledge was quite comparable between regular visits to posyandu were 10 respondents (19.2%) and irregular visits were 10 respondents (19.2%). Respondents whose knowledge level was good, the majority of visits to posyandu were categorized as regular, 12 respondents (23.1%) and irregular, 4 respondents (7.7%). The results of the chi-square statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (? <0.05). The conclusion is there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and visits to the elderly posyandu in Payunga Village, Batudaa District. Thus, it is hoped it can provide health education for the elderly in Payunga Village regarding the importance of the elderly posyandu in the development of elderly health.
