Abstract :
The impact of the increase in the number of elderly is the existence of particular problems that include the ongoing aging process, which results in the emergence of physical problems, namely the health of the elderly. Family support is an effort to prosper the elderly through recommendations to the elderly Posyandu to control the health of the elderly. This research aimed to determine the relationship between family support and visits to the elderly Posyandu in Ualpato A village, Telaga Biru sub-district. This research design is quantitative, with an analytical survey through a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted in Ulapato A Village, Telaga Biru District. The population was 178 elderly, with a sample of 64 people. The results showed good family support for 41 respondents (64.1%), while less as many as 23 respondents with (35.9%), irregular category elderly visits amounted to 42 respondents (65.5%), while regular visits were 22 respondents with (34.4%). The results of the chi-square analysis test obtained a p-value < ? 0.05. This research concludes that there is a relationship between family support and visits to the elderly Posyandu. The existence of this study is expected to increase and improve family knowledge and awareness about the importance of maintaining the health of the elderly. The higher the form of family support and care for the elderly, it will be followed by the elderly?s trust so that they are obedient in following the elderly Posyandu in checking their health.
