Abstract :
Elderly or also known as aging is a condition that occurs in human life. Aging is also said to be a process of gradual disappearance of the tissue's ability to repair itself or replace and maintain its normal function. The aim of the research is to analyze the relationship between motivation and hypertension care visits among the elderly in Mongolato Village, Telaga District. The research method is research design with quantitative research with a descriptive research design. The aim of descriptive research is to describe a series of important events that have occurred in the present with a total of 64 elderly respondents. Data collection in this study used a motivational questionnaire and a posyandu visit book. The statistical analysis used is the Chi-Square test. The research results obtained from 64 respondents showed data on elderly people with good motivation as many as 23 people (35.9%) and with less motivation as many as 41 people (64.1%). Meanwhile, 22 people (34.4%) had good visits to posyandu and 42 people (654.6%) had poor visits to posyandu. And the calculated chi square value was obtained > chi square p=0.000 < 0.05 The conclusion is that there is a relationship between elderly motivation and elderly visits to posyandu in Ulapato A Village, Telaga Biru District. Conclusion: There is a relationship between elderly motivation and visits to posyandu in Ulapato A Village, Telaga Biru District, Gorontalo Regency. Suggestions for health workers in Ulapato A Village to improve their ability to provide education regarding posyandu for the elderly and to increase the motivation of the elderly.
