Abstract :
The increase in the elderly population indicates the success of development in advanced health, which impacts increasing life expectancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the role of health cadres and visits to posyandu in Ulapato A Village, Telaga Biru District, Gorontalo Regency. This research method was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study was 176 elderly and a sample of 64 elderly using the Slovin formula. The statistical analysis used was the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the role of cadres was sufficient for as many as 23 people (35.9%), and the least was the role of good cadres for as many as 19 people (29.7%). The elderly with the most visits to the posyandu are the elderly whose visits are less, where as many as 42 elderly (65.6%) and the least are the elderly whose number of visits is good, where as many as 22 people (34.4%). Chi-square value calculated> chi-square p=0.000 <0.05, then Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the role of health cadres and visits to the elderly posyandu in Ulapato Village A. Suggestions from the village or cadres are more active in informing the benefits and activities of the posyandu.
