Abstract :
Lack of exclusive breastfeeding for babies has an impact in their cognitive development and physical growth of children such as brain growth stunted, physical growth is hampered so that children become stunted, children become weak and get sick easily. Exclusive breastfeeding in Gorontalo Province (2018) is 46.91%. The aim of the research was to determine the number of births and mother's education level regarding exclusive breastfeeding. Research design is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The population of the research is 54 babies with the same sample size was 54 respondents which means total sampling is applied. Research result shows the highest number of births, namely primiparas as many as 31 people with a value pValue = 0.014 <0.05 and the highest education of the mother studied is education middle school (middle school and high school) as many as 36 people with pValue = 0.000 <0.05. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the number of births and the mother's education level exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the Telaga Biru Community Health Center. Suggestions are welcome serve as input for the health center in increasing coverage exclusive breastfeeding and can provide additional information for mothers to provide Exclusive breastfeeding for children.
