Abstract :
The impact which is stunting can have in the short term is disruption of brain development, intelligence and physical growth, which is greatly influenced by family support in the form of instrumental, appreciation, informational and emotional support. The aim of the research is to determine family support for the incidence of stunting. The design uses an analytical survey with a cross sectional design. Sampling used the Incidental Sampling technique with 79 respondents. Data collection uses a questionnaire sheet. The results showed the highest family support was good with 44 respondents (55.7%), sufficient family support with 25 respondents (31.6%), and poor family support with 10 respondents (12.7%). Meanwhile, the highest incidence of stunting was Normal with 44 respondents (55.7%), short (Stunting) with 31 respondents (39.2%), and very short with 4 respondents (5.1%). The results of the analysis used the chi square test with a p value = 0.000 (<0.05), which means there is a relationship between family support and stunting. The better the family support, the greater the level of knowledge and prevention of stunting for the family.
