Abstract :
The aim of the research is to improve learning outcomes through giving rewards in science subjects. The type of research used was classroom action research with 28 students in grade 5.2 MI Muhammadiyah Unggulan, Gorontalo City, as the subject of research. The research techniques use interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques, namely teacher activity, student activity, and student learning outcomes. The research was carried out in two cycles, cycle I, three meetings and cycle II, one meeting with four stages, namely: the preparation stage, the action implementation stage, the monitoring and evaluation stage, the analysis and reflection stage. The results of the research on the initial observation were 16 students or 57%, then in the first cycle there was an increase with students whose learning outcomes had achieved a minimum of 86 completeness criteria. In the first cycle there were 21 students with a percentage of 75% while in the second cycle, students whose results learning has reached completeness there are 26 people with a percentage of 93%. Thus it can be concluded giving rewards can improve learning outcomes in science subjects class 5.2 at MI Muhammadiyah Unggulan, Gorontalo City.
