Abstract :
Stroke is a condition that causes a person to experience paralysis or death due to bleeding disorders in the brain that cause brain tissue death. This study aimed to analyze the effect of jigsaw puzzle therapy on increasing upper limb muscle strength in stroke patients. The method used in this research was a quantitative quasi-experiment with One group pretest-posttest design. The population was 142, and the sample taken using the Slovin formula was 21 respondents. The sampling technique is non-probality sampling with a purposive sampling technique, which follows the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The statistical analysis used was a non-parametric bivariate analysis with Wilcokson. The results obtained from the Wilcokson test that the Sig value = 0.003. The conclusion is that giving jigsaw puzzle therapy affects increasing upper limb muscle strength in stroke patients. So it is hoped that hospitals will be able to provide nursing innovation in providing non-pharmacological health services.
