Abstract :
The lack of complete documentation of nursing care can be caused by many factors, one of which is the motivation of the nurses themselves. Low motivation of nurses can significantly affect the quality of service and be a factor causing nurses to move away from their profession as nursing service personnel who provide bio-psycho-socio-spiritual nursing care. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between nurse motivation and documentation of nursing care at Dr.M.M.Dunda Limboto Regional Hospital. Analytical survey research design with a cross sectional study approach, population of 126 nurses, total sample of 33 people using accidental sampling technique in this study. The research results showed that the majority of respondents had high motivation, 24 respondents (72.7%) and the majority of nursing care documentation was good, 27 respondents (81.8%). The majority of respondents who lacked motivation had poor documentation of their nursing care, namely 6 respondents and 3 respondents who documented good nursing care. Meanwhile, respondents who had high motivation overall documented nursing care well, namely 24 respondents. The results of the chi-square statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (? <0.05). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between nurse motivation and documentation of nursing care at Dr.M.M.Dunda Limboto Regional Hospital. So, it is hoped that the hospital can increase the motivation and nursing care process of nurses in each room.
