Abstract :
The demand for non-agricultural land is rising. It encourages the conversion of agricultural land and, if not controlled, can threaten food security. This study aims to determine the incentive policy for the protection of sustainable food agricultural land and how farmers respond to the protection of sustainable food agricultural land in Gorontalo Regency. The results showed that the incentive policy for protecting sustainable food agricultural land to farmers has yet to be realized 7 types of incentives based on Gorontalo District Regulation Number 2 of 2017. There is only one type of incentive that has been distributed, namely the provision of seeds to farmers. The response of wet-rice farmers to the Sustainable Food Agricultural Land policy is in the range of agreeing and strongly agreeing to be willing to follow the Sustainable Food Agricultural Land Policy.
