Abstract :
The focus of the reseach is the role of teachers in improving discipline in class IV students at SDN 2 Asparaga, Gorontalo Regency? The aim of this research is to describe the role of teachers in improving the discipline of class IV students at SDN 2 Asparaga, Gorontalo Regency. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The results obtained from this research are that the teacher's role in improving the discipline of class IV students at SDN 2 Asparaga, Gorontalo Regency in terms of neatness discipline indicators is that the teacher acts as a model or role model and provides sanctions that deter students from violating neatness discipline. Furthermore, the teacher's role in improving craft discipline is by acting as an administrator and motivator and providing sanctions that deter students from violating craft discipline. The teacher's role in improving environmental cleanliness is by acting as an advisor and model or role model where a teacher gives advice to students to remain disciplined in environmental cleanliness and teachers are also directly involved if there is community service. In this way, students will also be motivated to carry out community service. Then the teacher's role is to improve discipline in managing learning time, namely by acting as a teacher where as a teacher the teacher must be able to carry out learning and help students develop their potential well and appropriately. And finally, the teacher's role in improving behavioral discipline is by acting as a guide where the teacher tries to guide or direct students to behave well.
