Abstract :
This research aims to determine the relationship between Emotional Intelligenceand Group Cohesiveness and Organizational Commitment in StudentOrganization Members at the Muhammadiyah University of Gorontalo. Thisresearch uses a correlational study design with a quantitative approach. Thesample was taken randomly using a random sampling technique as many as 85respondents who were members of student organizations. Data collection in theresearch used a questionnaire and data analysis used correlational and multipleregression methods. The results of the research showed relationship betweenEmotional Intelligence and Organizational Commitment with a correlationcoefficient value of 52.9%, the relationship between Group Cohesiveness andOrganizational Commitment with a correlation coefficient value of 59.8%, and therelationship between Emotional Intelligence and Group Cohesiveness andOrganizational Commitment obtained values the coefficient of determination (RSquare) is 42.0%. Thus it can be concluded, there is a positive and significantrelationship betwen Emotional Intelligence and Organizational Commitment,there is a positive and significant relationship between Group Cohesiveness andOrganizational Commitment and also there is positive and significant relationshipbetween Emotional Intelligence and Group Cohesiveness and OrganizationalCommitment to members. Student organizations. Organization members areadvised to be more active, and focus more on goals and positive relationshipsbetween fellow members. while the head of the organization is expected to beable to develop emotional intelligence training and improve conflict resolutionabilities in order to increase group commitment and cohesiveness amongorganizational members, and further research needs to explore the theories ofemotional intelligence, group cohesiveness and organizational commitment,enrich the data, and consider the factors others that influence organizationalcommitment.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Group Cohesiveness, OrganizationalCommitment
